Automation Software Engineer

Overview:

Join the Mastercard Digital Network Services team and be part of developing cutting-edge solutions for the Next Generation of Core Payment Products. These solutions are built on Digital Network Architecture, Cloud Native principles, and follow a Scaled Agile Framework.

The Role:

• As a full-stack software engineer in quality, actively participate in discussions about requirements, test planning, creation of test scenarios, cases, and data, and execute testing plans following Mastercard standards.

• Design and implement test automation scenarios using Java (required), Selenium, Cucumber/J be have, Soap UI, J meter, Spring framework, REST, JSON, Eclipse, and GIT.

• Collaborate with the project team, meeting scheduled due dates, identifying and solving emerging issues, and independently handling assigned tasks.

• Implement Coding Best Practices and adhere to program norms for Code Quality gates.

• Coordinate with various groups within Mastercard to ensure project success.

• Embrace teamwork within the Agile environment.

• Take ownership of defect management, overseeing and escalating issues discovered during testing.

• Document according to Software Development Best Practices and follow Mastercard’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.

• Develop and execute performance test strategies and plans.

• Conduct demonstrations of new product functionalities for stakeholders.

• Build business and product knowledge over time.

• Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and time-to-market.

• Be a strong team player and be open to upskilling based on project needs.

All About You:

• Hold a bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in quality engineering processes.

• Passionate about technology with Full Stack Developer skills.

• Solid technical skills in Java, Selenium, Cucumber/Jbehave, Soap UI, Jmeter, Spring framework, REST, JSON, Eclipse, and GIT.

• Good understanding of payments domain message flows, architecture, common design patterns, ISO message protocols, and simulation/emulation tools is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with event-driven applications.

• Proficient in SQL for working with large and complex data sources and writing complex queries.

• Experience in testing APIs (REST and SOAP), web user interfaces, and/or reports.

• Familiarity with Agile teams and knowledge of Agile/SAFe tenets and ceremonies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems.

• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal) to effectively interact with multiple technical teams and stakeholders.

• High-energy, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to work under pressure independently, demonstrating a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to achieve results.
