Job Description: Purchase and Materials Coordinator
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase and Materials Coordinator to join our team at Coca-Cola. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchase order process, ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production plans, and optimizing inventory management across multiple plants globally. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive improvements in business processes, and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Purchase Order Management:
- Create, release, submit, and follow through on Purchase Orders for dedicated material categories across 1 to 12 concentrate plants globally.
- Review and act upon MRP suggestions and exception messages to support the production plan.
- Monitor inbound deliveries, liaise with suppliers, warehouses, and QA to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Revise delivery schedules and communicate changes internally or externally, adjusting inventory accordingly.
2. Materials Inventory Management:
- Purchase ingredients and materials in adherence to inventory guidelines to support production plans.
- Support the Materials Review Board (MRB) process by maintaining inventory levels and minimizing write-offs.
- Proactively manage aging stock to mitigate the impact on the P&L.
3. Business Planning:
- Prepare budgets for materials/ingredients requirements.
- Support supplier management and development through regular performance reviews.
4. Master Data Maintenance:
- Review and manage Master Data and planning parameters in SAP or other planning systems.
- Ensure accurate and reliable information is extracted from MRP.
5. Complaint Handling:
- Manage supplier quality and performance, submitting non-compliance reports and driving corrective actions.
- Perform root cause analysis with suppliers and internal parties, ensuring complete issue closure.
6. Drive Improvement Initiatives:
- Own MRP II/SCE measures for the area of responsibility.
- Proactively identify and drive improvements in business processes.
